FICO score of 660 or better. If qualifying a business, a credit report on the business to be qualified is also required.
Insurance Requirements:
$300,000 liability insurance and $50,000 property damage insurance.
Bond Requirements:
If the applicant's credit score is below 660, a bond or letter of credit in the amount of $20,000 is required for Division I applicants and $10,000 for Division II applicants. 50% of the bond or letter of credit requirement may be met by completion of a 14-hour financial responsibility course approved by the Board.

Notes:
If a company has more than one qualifier in each of its classifications, it may simply notify the board that the qualifying agent is no longer associated with its license. Otherwise, the entity must appoint a new qualifying agent.
Companies can obtain a temporary, nonrenewable license that will allow them to continue working for up to 60 days to complete any existing contracts.

Qualifying Individual Requirements:
A person will qualify for a certified license by meeting one of the following requirements:
Four year construction-related degree from an accredited college (equivalent to three years experience) and one year proven experience applicable to the category for which you are applying.
One year experience as a foreman and not less than three years of credits from accredited college-level courses.
One year experience as a worker, one year experience as a foreman, and two years of credits from accredited college-level courses.
Two years experience as a worker, one year experience as a foreman, and one year of credits from accredited college-level courses.
Four years experience as a worker or foreman of which at least one year must have been as a foreman.
A veteran will qualify for a certified license by meeting one of the following:
Three years of military service and one year experience as a foreman applicable to the category for which you are applying.
Two years of military service, one year experience as a foreman, and one year experience as a worker or foreman applicable to the category for which you are applying.
One year of military service, one year experience as a foreman, and two years experience as a worker or foreman applicable to the category for which you are applying.

Qualifying Individual Requirements:
To be certified as a Firesafety Inspector I in the State of Florida, an individual must successfully complete a minimum of 225 hours of basic certification training (classes listed below) for Firesafety Inspectors, or have received equivalent training in another state, and pass a state written examination.
Documentation of training is to be submitted with the required Application for Firesafety Inspector Certification Examination on FCDICE online or Form DFS-K4-1023 along with all other supporting documents, at least 10 business days prior to the scheduled test date.
Renewal of certification is subject to the affected person completing a proper application for renewal and meeting all of the requirements, which must include completion of at least 54 hours during the preceding 4-year period of approved Continuing Education (CEU) as required by the rule of the department.
Florida Lead Abatement Individual License
