Initial Registration

Agency Fee:

Fees vary by application type:

  • $250 per class for TEAS Plus applications
  • $350 per class for TEAS Standard applications
  • $500 per class for § 66(a) applications (entities requesting the extension of an international trademark to the U.S.)

Registration Renewal

Agency Fee:

$525 per class.

Due:

Between the 9th and 10th years following the initial registration date and every 10 years thereafter. If you initially registered on March 12, 2022, your section 8 and 9 combined filing should be made between March 12, 2031 and March 13, 2032.

Supplemental Reporting

Filing Method:

Agency Fee:

$225 per class. If you plan to file Combined §8 and §15 declarations, the fee is $425 per class.

Due:

Between the 5th and 6th years after the initial registration date. If you initially registered on March 12, 2022, your section 8 declaration filing should be made between March 12, 2027 and March 12, 2028.

Notes:

Trademark holders may also choose to file a Section 15 declaration of incontestability in conjunction with the section 8 filing. This optional filing can be made if the mark has been in continuous use in commerce for a period of 5 years after the date of registration, or date of publication under § 12(c), and the mark is still in use in commerce.
