Annual Report

Form:	Form F2: Foreign Nonproft Corporation Annual Report
Filing Method:	Mail, in-person, or online.
Agency Fee:	$2.50 online filing fee or $5 mail filing fee
Due:	Annual reports must be filed during the quarter that contains the registration anniversary date. For example, if you registered on February 14, then you must file your annual report between January 1 and March 31. The due dates are March 31, June 30, September 30, and December 31.
Law:	Hawaii Code Division 2 Title 23 § 414D-308
Notes:	An annual report is not required to be filed in the year the corporation was incorporated. Expedited processing is available for an additional $25 fee.

Application for Certificate of Authority

Certified Copy Requirement:	Certified copies not required.
Certificate of Good Standing Requirement:	Certificate of good standing dated within 60 days.

Trade Name

Form:	Application for Registration of a Trade Name
Filing Method:	Mail, fax, or online.
Agency Fee:	$50 + optional $20 expedite fee
Is registration mandatory?:	Trade name registration is optional.
Law:	Hawaii Statutes § 482-2
County Level Filing:	Filing is not required at the county level.
Does registration prevent others from using the name I choose?:	Registration of a trade name does not confer ownership rights. In Hawaii, name ownership comes from public use of the name.
Notes:	The department will not issue a trade name that is substantially identical to a registered trade name, legal name, or other registered mark. Publication of registration is not required in Hawaii.

Certificate of Good Standing
