1. General Liability Insurance in an amount not less than $1,000,000 per occurrence, single limit for bodily injury and property damage
2. Workers' Compensation Insurance as required by state law

Class A contractor licenses entitle the licensee to undertake or perform any action in the city for which a building permit is required, including those functions for which a Class D contractor license is required.

The qualifying individual must have the required experience for the contractor license the business is seeking. Additionally, the qualifying individual must be one of the following: 

1. A stockholder or member of the board of directors of a corporation, a partner of the partnership, a member of the limited liability company, or a principal of the business association or other business entity; or
2. An employee of any of the foregoing, so long as the employee works more than 30 hours per week for the business association or other business entity seeking the contractor license.

Class B contractor licenses entitle the licensee to undertake or perform any action in the city for which a building permit is required on any building or structure, not exceeding from grade, three stories in height, and to perform nonstructural remodeling, tenant-finishes, and repairs on all buildings and structures, including those functions for which a Class D contractor license is required.

The qualifying individual must have the required experience for the contractor license the business is seeking. Additionally, the qualifying individual must be one of the following: 

1. A stockholder or member of the board of directors of a corporation, a partner of the partnership, a member of the limited liability company, or a principal of the business association or other business entity; or
2. An employee of any of the foregoing, so long as the employee works more than 30 hours per week for the business association or other business entity seeking the contractor license.

1. A stockholder or member of the board of directors of a corporation, a partner of the partnership, a member of the limited liability company, or a principal of the business association or other business entity; or
2. An employee of any of the foregoing, so long as the employee works more than 30 hours per week for the business association or other business entity seeking the contractor license.
