Registration of an Extraprovincial Company

Agency:	British Columbia Business Registry
Form:	Form 33 – Extraprovincial Company Registration Statement
Instructions:	Register a Foreign Entity (formed outside of Canada) as an Extraprovincial Company in B.C.
Filing Method:	Online or mail.
Agency Fee:	$350 (CAD) (plus $30 name approval fee)
Notes:	An attorney for service with a BC delivery address is required (registered agent equivalent). Name reservation required prior to filing ($30). Must register within 2 months of beginning to carry on business in BC. New West Partnership Trade Agreement (NWPTA) simplified process applies only to AB, SK, and MB corporations – not US corporations.
Required Attachments:	Name approval/reservation certificate Proof of existence from home jurisdiction (e.g., certificate of status) certified by home jurisdiction
Certified Copy Requirement:	Certified copies not required.
Certificate of Good Standing Requirement:	Certificate of Good Standing is required.
