Fees vary by business activity. Retail and general businesses (those engaging in any business consisting of selling at retail any goods, wares, merchandise, or commodities, or engaging in any trade, occupation, service, or calling in which the general nature and purpose is retail business) pay a fee based on annual gross receipts:

$100 for $100,000 or less in annual gross receipts
$150 for between $100,001 and $200,000 in annual gross receipts
$200 for between $200,001 and $300,000 in annual gross receipts
$250 for between $300,001 and $400,000 in annual gross receipts
$300 for between $400,001 and $500,000 in annual gross receipts
$350 for between $500,001 and $600,000 in annual gross receipts
$400 for between $600,001 and $700,000 in annual gross receipts
$450 for between $700,001 and $800,000 in annual gross receipts
$500 for between $800,001 and $900,000 in annual gross receipts
$550 for between $900,001 and $1,000,000 in annual gross receipts
$600 for between $1,000,001 and $1,500,000 in annual gross receipts
and $50 for each increment or fraction of $500,000 above $1,500,000.

First-time applicants who will commence business after October 1 pay 3/4 of the application fee, those commencing business after January 1 pay 1/2 the application fee, and those commencing business after April 1 pay 1/4 the application fee.
