Top 5 Tips on Registering a Business in Wyoming

  1. Corporations and LLCs must appoint a registered agent. We'll explain the considerations for serving as your own agent. The agent must sign the formation documents.
  2. Submit the original signed formation documents to the Wyoming Secretary of State. The state will e-mail you with an electronic certificate for evidence of filing.
  3. Within sixty (60) days after filing articles of incorporation, a corporation shall provide information to its registered agent. We'll detail the list of information that must be furnished.
  4. Wyoming does NOT offer a consolidated state tax registration application. Apply for individual business tax accounts as needed. Wyoming does NOT levy corporate income tax. Wyoming does levy excise/sales/use, mineral, and property taxes.
  5. Corporations and LLCs must file annual reports with the Wyoming Secretary of State.
