Our top takeaways from an annual nonprofit meeting of the minds.

Harbor Compliance, a Best Practices Partner of National Council of Nonprofits, is proud to have sponsored the 2017 Network Learning Confab conference. Hosted by the Council of Nonprofits at the Waterview Conference Center, the venue and event did not disappoint! Browse our event photos to take in the meeting space, refreshments, beautiful views, and great company that made Confab such a success.

Spanning June 21-23, this year’s gathering in Arlington, V.A. was truly a time of reflection, peer learning, and networking among nonprofit leaders. A team of our nonprofit specialists tuned into sessions that tackled topics ranging from leadership tactics to the advocacy action cycle.

Our team exhibited in the main reception area. We had the opportunity to reconnect in person with our longtime partners as well as new nonprofit leaders from across the country. There was no better setting to help organizations and nonprofit leaders better understand our compliance products,  services, and insights.

A lively discussion over dinner Thursday provided the chance to connect with many of our state association partners. Eight state associations were represented at the table. Our 16 attendees represented a diverse range of roles, from CEO’s and executive directors to knowledge, communication, and membership directors. The combination of longstanding and newly met friends made for the best company we could have asked for. A heartfelt thanks to all who made the event so memorable!

Throughout the Confab schedule, one thing became very clear: We are fortunate to work with such a passionate group of nonprofit leaders! It’s why we love – yes, love – compliance. Because compliance enables charitable organizations to focus on their mission without limitation. And if this year’s Confab takeaway is any indication, the bar is set high!

If you missed us at the conference, we’re only a phone call or email away. Contact us to talk about charitable organization compliance solutions.
