Licensing requirements for Idaho land surveyor firms.

Before applying, firms should ensure that the licensed individual to be appointed agent in charge has the necessary licenses. Firms should also gather proof of incorporation, or foreign qualification for out-of-state firms, in anticipation of application requirements.

Biennially by the end of the licensee's month of birth. Licensees born in even-numbered years file every even-numbered Idaho state fiscal year and licensees born in odd-numbered years file every odd-numbered Idaho state fiscal year.

Fundamentals of Surveying (FS) - An exam for recent graduates that tests on basic surveying principles.

Principles of Surveying (PS) - An exam that tests for competency of surveying skills.

Reciprocity - When a licensed surveyor in on state can provide documentation (often an NCEES Record) to more easily apply for a license in another jurisdiction.

Develops, administers, and scores the exams used for engineering licenses.

Advocacy group for professional surveyors in the United States.
