Looking for Answers About the New GDPR Data Collection Rules?

Jerri-Lynn Wier

We’ve received many calls from clients asking about the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which was adopted by the European Parliament in 2016 and is set to take effect May 25, 2018. With expanded protections and a broader territorial scope than prior rules, the GDPR affects businesses and nonprofits with customers or data processing in the EU.

We provide a broad range of entity management and business licensing solutions, and we’re always happy to field compliance questions from our clients. But data protection is a very complex area, and it’s outside our core expertise, so we advise anyone with questions to consult an expert.

We can point you to the relevant regulation, which you may read here. You can also find further information about the GDPR, including frequently asked questions, here.
